i moved the living room furniture around yesterday
again
when i was finally done
i sat down and
realized i'd created
a conversational cluster
ha, imagine that!
anyway ... i'm thinking
that a fireplace sure would look nice
where that bookcase is ...
something like this I think
what about you?
do you move the furniture around a lot?
when do you do it?
i don't even think of trying it when Mr. BB is around
cause he hates change - of any kind
Ben too leaves the room the moment
things start moving around
like life size pieces in chess game
that i always win
in the end, i'm refreshed
the room feels brand new
and Ben comes back

I know what you mean. I don't have a fp either, but your bookcases make a nice focal point. I'm not a big furniture mover, but I change my accessories constantly!

A fireplace would like fabulous there and so cozy! I used to move the furniture around alot..sometimes every week if the whim would strike. Now that we have the new flooring - I am afraid to move the furniture by myself in case I scratch it up!

I used to move furniture around a lot in all the other places I've lived. I love doing that! But, where I live now, I seem to have everything in the best arrangement and nothing else seems to work. It kind of makes me want to move. A different look would be so refreshing.
I have one of those homes that the furniture just fits one way, so I am boring and it all stays put.

We built a free standing fireplace several years ago just 'cause I wanted a mantel. :o)
I used to move furniture more but with this house there is less flexibility since the flat-screen TV has to stay where it is. I think a fireplace would look great there. I have one of the electric ones in my livingroom and we love it, they are made much better quality now and keep the room cozy. All you do is plug it in (and if the mood hits, you can MOVE it!).
I move furniture around ALL THE TIME. It's so fun and exciting to see a new look without spending any money. Have fun! I like your arm chairs.
That's funny because I changed mine around this afternoon too! I like change and I am actually looking for a new sofa. One that is puke proof since my granddaughter was here in the last few months and she had a major accident on mine so I want one that will wipe clean...not soak in...if you know what I mean. Plus one that is dog hair proof. I think a fireplace would look great in that spot. You can get those electric ones that have mantels with them. That would look good. Have a good week!~Hugs, Patti
Haha, my husband also hates change. I don't move furniture around in the living room anymore, there's no room to move anything and I don't know how else to arrange it!
