It was planned way back in November, that when I got back from Florida
I would purge the contents of my basement ....
this is stuff that never made it out of the boxes
3 years ago when we downsized
and has been sitting
waiting to find a home
so as my table cured in preparation for being ``distressed``
I got busy ...
it took most of the day
but I feel lighter for having done it
and now
Goodwill is going to be very busy the next couple of days
sorting through
my stuff
I`ve also posted several pieces of furniture on Kijiji

Purging always feels so good. Goodwill has been criticized for some bad practices, and most of the money does not go to charity. Perhaps there is another charity that would appreciate your goods.
I have you beat! Although I am constantly finding things around my place to donate or get rid of otherwise, I do still have some boxes in a closet that have been there since I moved over ten years ago! So sad.
